Hannah Howell is now 12 years old, and lives in Georgetown,
Texas. She has a brother, Hunter, and of course, her mom and dad, Lisa Howell and Craig Howell. She loves animals and
riding horses, (likes just about anything to do with horses). She is an excellent student. She loves art and music and is
a poet. She sees the good in everyone, is always kind, and has a golden soul. It seems people say that about most
kids, but Hannah is special and her truly gentle spirit touches people in ways most of us should model.
On Februrary 9th, of 2004, an undetected condition with her kidneys, led to very high blood pressure then resulted in her
brain hemmorhaging. The bleeding occured in the pontine region of her brain stem. She was hospitalized
at Children's of Austin. She had kidney surgery. One kidney
was removed. The kidney that was saved is working fine, unfortunately there is no surgery to correct the damage in her brain
caused by the hemmorhage. She has faced many challenges. After four months of hospitalization she is home, but is considered
quadriplegic and does not speak yet. Her family hopes with time she will regain function.
Craig, Lisa, Hunter, and especially Hannah, need as
much support and prayers as we can offer, from as many of us as possible. She's a beautiful little girl, and
has inspired this site in response to all the inquiries about her condition. This is a site that love
built.
